Hypnosis for Minors

A respectful, reassuring, and age-appropriate approach

👪 Who can attend sessions?

Children and teenagers can benefit from hypnosis sessions to help them through certain challenges.
However, a parent or legal guardian must be present for the first appointment.

🧭 How does the process work?

1. First meeting with the parent(s)

We take time to talk together in order to:

  • Understand the situation and expectations
  • Clarify what hypnosis is (and isn’t)
  • Create a climate of trust and safety

2. Individual time with the child or teen

Depending on their age, the young person may then speak alone if they feel comfortable.
Their willingness to engage in the process is essential.

3. Personalized hypnosis sessions

Sessions are adapted to the age, pace, and sensitivity of each child.
Techniques include positive visualizations, imagination games, and metaphorical stories.

📍 Framework and confidentiality

  • No sessions are conducted without written consent from the parent(s).
  • Feedback to the parents is offered, with respect for the young person’s privacy.
  • Confidentiality is strictly observed, except when safety is at risk.

🌱 Common reasons for consultation

  • Anxiety, stress, fears, nightmares
  • Self-confidence, shyness, social challenges
  • Sleep difficulties or bedwetting
  • School-related issues, lack of concentration
  • Mental preparation (exams, competitions)
  • Emotional shocks, separation, grief

💬 Please note

The first session does not imply a commitment to ongoing sessions.
It provides an opportunity to set clear expectations and decide together whether a follow-up is appropriate.
