During the first session, we explore your needs, your goal, and what you want to change. Then I guide you through discovering the hypnotic state using simple games and exercises—we already begin some hypnotic work that helps initiate change.
During each following session, we review what has shifted since the previous one, so we can continue the hypnotic work while integrating the changes already underway. This continues until your goal is reached.
We can never know in advance how many sessions are needed, because everyone is different and progresses at their own rhythm. That said, in most cases, at least three sessions are necessary for a stable and lasting change.
It’s beneficial to leave around two weeks between sessions to give the work time to unfold and to allow you to notice its effects in your daily life.
What to Expect During a Hypnosis Session
Before the session
To get the most out of your session, you book your appointment yourself and immediately receive a confirmation email with all the necessary information.
We work on one issue or goal at a time. Choose the one that feels most important to you.
The day before the session, you receive an email reminder.
For online sessions, make sure to prepare your setup by following the technical recommendations: Preparing my equipment for an online session.
During the session
We discuss your goals for the session. You are free to share what you want — in hypnosis, you don’t need to explain all the details.
I guide you into a hypnotic state using different techniques. This is a modified state of consciousness, somewhere between sleep and wakefulness, where you become more receptive to suggestions.
Once you are in this state, I use various techniques to support you in reaching your goals.
Emotions may surface during the session, and you may feel tired afterward. It’s often helpful not to rush into a meeting or anything stressful right after. If possible, give yourself a moment to land gently.
End of the session
I guide you back to a normal waking state.
We close the session together.
After the session
Sometimes issues are interconnected, and by resolving one, we may resolve several at once.
In the days or weeks following the session, various thoughts, feelings, or memories related to the topic may come up. This is completely normal.
Try to note the most important and positive thing you learned. It can serve as a helpful reminder.
Between sessions, it’s also useful to observe and write down your thoughts, experiences, dreams, reactions, and progress. Bringing this with you to the next session can be very valuable.
It’s important to remember that every hypnosis session is unique, and its structure can vary based on your needs.
Online or In-Person?
The results are the same whether we meet online or in my office in Malmö. About 90% of my clients work with me remotely.
At a distance, you are in your own environment, which may feel more comfortable or reassuring—this often enhances your receptivity.
Both formats are effective, and the outcomes are identical.
